We bought this O general 5 star 1 Ton AC couple of months back. The installation was prompt and it has been running without any problem since then. But I guess it is too early to say anything regarding problems with its running and whether it might not give any problems in the future.
Other than that the cooling is very good. It takes barely 20 mins in my bedroom to reach the temperature. The Auto fan mode adjusts its speed automatically, running fast initially and then slowing down when the temp is reached. Its timer is also helpful. I set it to go off around 5.30 in the morning and the temperature is fine till I get up at 7.
The timer function increases the set temp by 1C every hour to a maximum of 2C, so that it doesn’t get too cold while sleeping.The AC does not have a temp indicator in the indoor unit. You have to look at the remote for that. Also, there is no way to know the current temp of the room. But these are fine for me. I have not yet called after sales service. Other reviewers have written about poor after sales service with O general. So that is something to think of.
For me, it is so far so good with this O general and I might update review if I have any problems with it.
