I have 3 O General Ac’s in my household. All are 3-4 years old. Two out of them had gas leakages last year, which showed how degraded quality standards the company has adopted.
I had a 20 year old AC whose company name I don’t remember, but it didn’t faced such issue of leakages.
The quality of the copper pipes are not up-to the mark. As my home is about 2-3 km from Yamuna river, the acid fumes from it reacts with copper, which creates hole in the pipe. If these manufacturers can build strong and thick pipes, things can change alot.
Still the cooling capacity of the AC is quite better than any other brand.
One can buy this piece if the area is not affected by such fumes. And yes, it is loaded with only basic features. Thankfully it is remote controlled.
