I welcome you all once again for coming to my space. This time, as you must have known; you are going to read my take on smallest PDA phone in the world.


O2 XDA MINI II


Yes, don’t get surprise, this is the world’s smallest PDA phone, bundled with lots and lots of application and supported by Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition for Pocket PC.


Before I start you making lure towards this magnificent device let’s dive straight in to the features of O2 XDA MINI II.


About Device...


O2 XDA MINI II weighs approximately 150 gm with internal antenna and removable battery.O2 XDA MINI II has got processor of 416 MHZ, with a 64 MB ROM and 64 SDROM as well.O2 XDA MINI II supports Tri Band (900/1800/1900).


O2 XDA MINI II comes with 2.8’’ Transflective TFT 64k Color screen.O2 XDA MINI II has a touch screen pad.


O2 XDA MINI II has 5 way navigational key with 4 programmable buttons, to set your favorite programme to those keys.O2 XDA MINI II has also got 3 handy buttons on the left side of the phone for Camera, Volume control and for quick notes as well.


O2 XDA MINI II connectivity features are marvellous.It can be connected by Infra red and blue tooth as well.O2 XDA MINI II can Also connects by GSM/GPRS. O2 XDA MINI II also has USB mini cable which can be used to connect to PC and charge the phone as well simultaneously. Though O2 XDA MINI II don’t have inbuilt wi-fi support but user can make device wi-fi enabled by using a external wi-fi LAN card’s O2 XDA MINI II supports all types of connectivity on a whole.


O2 XDA MINI II is equipped with 1.3 Mega pixel CMOS colored camera, with 4X optical zoom and 4 picture and 4 ambience modes (Grey, Sepia, Cool, Negative) as well.O2 XDA MINI II is also able to capture videos with sound.Though the picture quality is not so crisp during night time , but in day time both camera and video works very well.


For music lovers O2 XDA MINI II comes with Microsoft’s Windows Media Player, which supports all kinds of file as in your normal PC like MP3, MPAGV, AVI etc.Sound quality is very good and quality MP3 are nice to hear on the device.


O2 XDA MINI II can be synchronized to your Microsoft Outlook with your O2 XDA MINI II Outloook.You can configure every thing like emails, contacts, Tasks and calender.O2 XDA MINI II comes with Microsoft’s ActiveSync v 3.7.1


Contacts in O2 XDA MINI II can be stored in two formats. One in a normal way and other being the photo contacts. Against each name you can store a plethora of information starting from Name to Home address , Work adress, Multiple Phone numbers , Birthdate, Anniversary dates Etc.Same information can be viewed in Photo contacts section which is more advanced then the normal contact interface. Beside the information you can store in contacts, in Photo contact mode you can also store the image of the person, can assign a ringbone and group. Can assign an animation to a particular caller and other sorts of personalization.


O2 XDA MINI II comes up with 256 Memory card free and this memory card can be upgraded up to 1GB as of now.


Messaging on O2 XDA MINI II is more like a fun .I love messaging on it.O2 XDA MINI II supports SMS, MMS and sending Email with


attachments.


As I said messaging is fun on O2 XDA MINI II, that is because of the various mode of writing a message are available. You can input a message by normal Phone pad as in our Mobile phones or you can enter a message by touch screen QWERT keyboard and the most love feature of this device is when you write message in Letter recognizer mode. You Just move your stylus on the touch screen and device will automatically recognize the character drawn.

our PC.Pocket word documents can be saved as .psw, .doc, .rtf and .txt.Similarly excel file can be saved as .pxl format and .Xls


format.


By Windows Media Player, as I said earlier we can play audio and video files that are stored in our Pocket PC phone , a


network or on the Internet.


By Pictures , we can collect , organize and sort picture file on our device. With this application we can view the images on our


pocket PC as a slide show.With help of this application you can edit your pictures with tools like


Rotate, crop, zoom, brightness , color and contrast.


Clearvue PPT displays presentations created in PowerPoint 97 and above.CV PPT allows you to display your presentation as it


was created , With no alteration made


Midlet Manager makes our device to support Java application such as games and tools designed for pocket PC.Midlet manager


provides flexibility of installing and managing additional J2ME applications from the internet.


O2 XDA MINI II comes up with two games Solitaire and jawbreaker. It also has a multi-media album which supports various type of


files while displaying. Album Supports BMP, GIF, JPEG, Animated GIF, AVI, MP4, 3GP, WAV, MIDI etc.

So overall this PDA has got all phone features and PDA features as well. And I am proud owner of this marvelous gadget. I love this device. Touch wood :D


I like this PDA , if we compare it with other PDA’s, because of its Slim look and and small size.Its looks are also class and and its very easy to carry it unllike othe PDA’s which are very bulky.


This was my small take on this smallest PDA phone. Can’t cover more of it , because of some time constraint. But anyone having any query please ask in the comments section.
