Yah! why the movie is so sloppy? Guys, it’s Ocean 8! I am a die hard fan of Ocean series and anything going wrong with the movie just tears my heart away. Gary Ross could have done a bit more justification to the entire movie especially when we had Debbie Ocean ( Sandra Bullock) in the movie. The movie didn’t have Daniel Ocean as a main caster so everthing seemed to be lame and worthless.Particularly portraying male chauvinism.
I do not mean to sound like a feminist but it’s kind of true that we have seen previous Ocean series being handled by Daniel Ocean, so they were marvelous.They seemed to be action and thrill packed movies.So what exactly could have happened now? Now this time Debbie Ocean who seemed to have completed her tenure in jail has returned to take her revenge on her ex by robbing the 150$million necklace is a good storyline. She creates her team of seven and characters like Anna Hathaway and Helena along with Sandra Bullock can create the required magic which was completely missing.
I have seen the previous Ocean series even and felt like watching them again and again but this time the urge was simply not created. The was suchna flat tyre that good actors could hardly do much with imposing punchlines and actions.
Ocean series are known for their amazing robbing plannings , execution and momentum. But Director Ross was simply not interested to make this one equally captivating. The momentum was not there, no thrills and god knows what kind of action we were watching when Sandra Bullock is simply an amazing action actor herself. She made a mark in the Hollywood industry as an action actor quiet well but this one couldn’t be pullef off.
Music was kind of average not being very impactful. Cinematography did the perfect job and helped the movie to make a stand. Small changes with the awesome actors could have made ocean 8 the next blockbuster but decided otherwise.
I can suggest to watch the movie once since Ocean series are my favourite so little lenient with the judgement. But the value for money and the hype are absolutely not in sync with each other.
