I dont usually write negative reviews, but this time Im honestly frustrated. Ola used to be my go-to app for booking cabs, but now it feels like more stress than convenience.
So recently, I had an early morning train to catch. I booked an Ola the night before, thinking its all sorted. Got a confirmation, driver assigned, everything looked fine. But guess what? 10 minutes before the scheduled time, the driver cancelled without any reason. I tried rebooking and either no cabs were available or drivers kept rejecting. I was literally panicking at 5 AM on the road with luggage, no one to help. Somehow managed to book an auto outside, but almost missed my train.
And this isnt a one-time thing. Last week, I booked a cab for my mom from the hospital to home. The driver came 20 minutes late, didnt bother to call, and when she called him, he was rude and said "madam area toh pata hi nahi tha." Like seriously? Arent drivers supposed to know the route?
Also, fare estimates are getting weird now. It shows one rate when booking and then final amount is way higher with random "peak pricing" or "waiting charges" even when cab was late.
One more thing that really annoyed me sometimes driver calls and says "sir cash do, warna cancel karna padega." I mean whats the point of online payment then?
I dont know what happened to Ola. Service quality has gone down, support is useless(you just get automated replies), and drivers have no sense of responsibility.
Honestly, Im shifting to other apps now. At least they value customers and time. Really hope Ola looks into this seriously before they lose more loyal users like me.
