OLA is A total Crap of a company. It just doesnt give a damn to its customers. I have been facing one issue since a long long time. OLA drivers mostly are super arrogant, they will ask you if the payment mode is by cash/UPI or OLA Postpaid. If you tell its cash/UPI/Gpay then its fine(they still cancel as per their wish) but if you tell its OLA postpaid they will arrogantly tell to cancel as we want cash. Last week OLA drivers cancelled atleast 6-7 rides just because the payment mode was postpaid as I was short on cash. I had to travel western Mumbai from Navi Mumbai so I had to wait for an Hour and a Half just to get a ride inspite of me being ill. I had to arrange cash & finally took a UBER which I got within 5 mins, no questions asked!
Second, Why OLA is not taking any actions after so many cancellations each day? Customers have to wait for around an Hour as these drivers keep cancelling rides. What is the use of giving OLA postpaid when you just cant use it. What to do when a customer is in an emergency situation, is short on cash or doesnt have any cash and these good for nothing drivers keep asking for cash otherwise will cancel the ride? Many drivers told me that they hate the OLA Postpaid payment method and want instant cash once the ride is over & will cancel if payment mode is postpaid.
Drivers say that they get the money after a long time once OLA cuts it & gives it back to them. While this may be a genuine issue, but most drivers just dont want to come for distances less than 3-5kms simply as they dont find it profitable. One good thing happened was that OLA made Rickshaw as Cash only as its justified as people use it for short distances. Earlier even OLA Rickshaws used cancel rides but after the cash only ruling the cancellation for OLA rickshaw has gone down significantly.
I think its time for OLA users to switch to UBER or RAPIDO. Just stop using or cancel their Postpaid. Only then will the deaf ears of OLA will open up. By far OLA with its spineless leadership has given one of the worst experiences till now.
