Let me be frank. I have used different call taxi services (about 8-10 times) for drop to Airport in Chennai in last one year and every time had a bad experience. The driver would insist towards the end of journey on some hidden/extra charges which really leaves a bad taste.
These cab drivers, like most auto rickshaw drivers of Chennai, become rude and arrogant when demanding extra money from the customers. And having stayed in almost all metros/big cities in India and seen their service, I formed a poor opinion about call-taxi services in Chennai.
Last week I tried Ola for Airport drop. And this ’one service’ has changed my opinion. Right from the moment I booked the taxi, then conversation with their tele-executives and the conduct of driver, the complete experience was far better than expected, professional to the core.
I am happy that I tried Ola, because now onwards I know which cab-service to call, when I need one. No customer expects anything extra, but just sticking to terms and commitments in a professional fashion is what one looks forward to. Ola has more than that. My hearty congratulations to the Ola team for the great job they do. I won’t hesitate to state that other cab service providers in Chennai need to take a lesson or two from Ola.
