Myself Chaitali and today I am going to share my personal experience with the OLA cabs service. I had the OLA App in my mobile and I was stuck at my office due to heavy rain in kolkata, So I decided to take OLA and I opened the app and start booking process, At first there was no cab available because of rain and after waiting for 15 minutes they provided me with an option of a small car not even a sedan for 15 times higher price then the actual fare and the reason was rain. And they also suggested me that it will take minimum 30 minutes to came and receive me from my office.
So I waited and keep on trying to call the cab driver but he didn’t received my call and after almost 45 minutes the cab driver called me up and asked for road directions and I guided him accordingly and after one hour it finally came. Then the driver started telling me stories about the heavy rain and the roads are blocked due to water logging. And he started taking different roads which were longer then the original rout. It took me 16 kms to reach my house from my office which is only 5.2 kms and the final fare was 927 rupees for a 15 to 20 minutes trip.
So friends try other cab service providers like UBER, Gatidhara etc. I would say NO to OLA. and I don’t use OLA.
I reported the OLA customer support but there was no feedback. So be aware and be safe, think twice before taking OLA.
