Have you ever felt that you opened their app and there were cabs nearby and suddenly it shows no cabs available and then after a wait of 5-10min there comes many cabs in your area but with a peak hour charges of upto 13x?
Well if you haven’t felt that way then you better try it bcz I’ve observed that and me and some of my friends even did the same.
Near my house there was an OLA CAB parked. What me and another friend of mine did was we went near him and asked the driver whether he is online or not. He had his status shown available at that time. Then we opened the app and as soon as the app kicked in, it showed around 3-4 cabs over there. But as I started earlier, it disappeared in a few minutes. Then after a wait of 15min, around 5 cabs appeared but with a peak hour charge if 4.8x.
This way they try to con the customers and take extra fare from them because due to stiff competition, they have reduced their so high price that they are now trying to fool people and take extra money from them.
Also once I applied a coupon of?200 off and it showed that the coupon was applied but what happened in reality was that it didn’t and I had to pay for my ride. Upon contacting customer support I got an answer that coupon wasn’t applied. But if the coupon wasn’t applied then where did the coupon went bcz it wasn’t showing in my coupons column.
Try auto if you don’t find any other cab rather than using ola and then getting conned through their cheap tricks.
