I want to share my incident that I faced recently in Nagpur while taking ola share ride. I took the ride around 11 p.m. of around 6-7 kms. ( It was from Orange city hospital square to hingna naaka-09) . When I board the cab and was getting my side of glasses up and told him to turn on the AC he just refused doing it and when asked why he first said that no AC is allowed in share cabs. And when I took my mobile out to check the conditions he thought that I was calling up the customer care and shockingly says to me if you want to call the customer care do it when you get off or otherwise get off now. And I said did I call I was just checking the terms and conditions. But till now I had lost my cool and then he says that my ride was of just Rs. 50 and turning on AC would make this ride a bit costlier to him and it won’t be reasonable to him. I said that I had paid it to OLA and deserve the features it extends to it customers then he gave a vague statement saying he doesn’t know about OLA and he would first go with his own conditions and also told me you are a kid so keep being it. And when I started to argue about it he threatens me to get off the cab in middle of nowhere and says he doesn’t care about it. And when I said why didn’t you told me this on the call when I booked your cab he said that then how would he able to earn that easy 50 bucks which shows totally that he was cheating me. And he didn’t know one thing that when I took my phone out I was recording it all. And I said you force me one more time to get off the cab I will Sue you and he told on what basis and then I came up with my recording and he got totally shocked and got mumb and quietly turned on the AC but I was unable to bear one more minute with him but it was so late that I had no other option. He has no courtesy, Humanity was totally a word not in his dictionary. Then he tried to talk me up in the cab then I just said that my parents told me not to talk to strangers.( as he stated me as a kid) He then just let me off at my destination and wished me good night an I did the same just because my parents told me to respect elders. I didn’t reported it to OLA yet but after writing this I definitely will. My suggestion is that if you take a cab just make sure to turn on recorder while any quarrels.
