You book a city taxi so that you can have a pleasant, safe and comfortable journey. However with OLA it is bit different.
When you book a OLA cab in Bangalore you should be ready to have a horrifying, dangerous, life threatening and mood spoiling journey.
OLA Cabs company has taken utmost care to make money by employing Reckless, Dangerous and Rude drivers.
OLA has also taken much precision in recruiting the Call center team who don’t know to handle situation and also have no heart and ethics and carries no social responsibility and just keep on saying "We are sorry for the inconvenience". Its 13th Dec 2014.
After a long day of work and search, my wife and myself booked OLA to travel back to our place. This was biggest mistake we did however I have another aspect of this mistake.
The CAB was an attached service with OLA and AC was not working.
On reporting this the call center they offered 50 INR off from the final bill amount and informed the same to the driver. However there was a greater surprice awaiting us.
The CAB driver stopped the vehicle in between the trip and started behaving rudely. When this was reported to the Call centre they were helpless in overcoming the situation. The driver threatened us of the situation and demanded the money for the journey.
I was not willing to pay anything as the service was not offered and more then that a separate cab was on the way and we were advised not to pay anything by the Call center.
However the situation worsened with threatening from the driver and making a big scene on the road side.
My wife advised to pay the money and move on, however her heart was cursing the driver for his behavior.
I want to ask every reader,
Was it a matter of money for me when I had spent almost 1, 500 INR on just travelling and eating in the city the day
Is it wrong to ask for the service when you are paying for it
Is it wrong being ethical
In the whole scenario I learnt the following,
OLA - "The Dangerous Ride" has no value for people and their safety
OLA - Has no record of their drivers and their characters. They just get them on board and have no track or control on them.
There are no safety measures in our country for such cases. We have become more reactive and wait for the worst to happen and then react.
It is truly said, We don’t care for things that are in abundance with us. In India we have People in abundance and thus we don’t care for them.
- I also learnt that we are so much immune to such cases that we just read them and take no action unless something similar does happen in our lives.
