In the past I have been a regular customer of Meru, Olas competitor. Lately, attracted by Olas aggressive pricing strategy, I tried using the service a couple of times. The first time, I was disappointed, and the second time outraged. The points below summarize my experience:
1. The cab did not turn up at all. They canceled the booking saying there was no response from my side. In reality I was trying to reach them and they never called me.
I ordered an economy Sedan and they sent an Indica(which did not reach the pick up point though).
The driver could not speak Hindi or English.
4. In the instance of ordering a riskshaw, it turned up, but the driver talked negative about Ola and said he would not take Ola orders if he has another option. Ola does not seem to incentivize the drivers.
- Connecting on phone to Ola customer care seems very tough or impossible(I tried the Bangalore number - 080 3085 3000).
The advent of professional cab services was heartening, considering the attitude of local rickshaw drivers. However, Ola does not seem to understand the meaning of professionalism.
