I had got done with attending an event in BKC around 12 am.I booked an Ola Share with the app on my android phone.My friends were quiet skeptical for me to have a cab all by myself post midnight so they had suggested me to take a share cab since I will be having passengers on my way to my house.
Me and My friends waited for 10mins for the cab to arrive.I sat in the cab and found myself probably the 1st passenger to the share cab drop chain.The roads at BKC are quiet open and deserted usually but post midnight they are absolutely no traffic types.The Driver Mentioned on my App was Some Middle Aged Sagar Shinde Mahadev Shinde but the driver who was driving the cab was some young lad Prathamesh.On being asked further he told me that he has started driving a month back and his driver identity was in process of being made.I was not finding it comfortable to be traveling in the cab with a driver who is not registered with OLA.But since it was already Mid Night and I was in a hurry to reach home I prefered to ignore it, as getting down in middle of the road is more unsafe.
Just after 5mins of me seated in the car the driver started driving rough from the by lanes of BKC to santacruz grand hyatt shortcut to highway.I told him to slow down as I would not wanna hurry up on speeding to reach home.He replied with a snap saying "Ki aur kitna slow chalun". I replied telling him that I feel nausea to be seated in a swirling car like that.He did not budge and kept driving Rashly.
Just before Hub mall in Goregaon on Western Express He got a booking for a pickup near the station and he moved towards the location mentioned.He reached the location but the passenger was on some other location as OLA does not show EXACT LOCATION as per GPS Pin.It shows a nearby or a quiet far away location while booking which becomes really difficult for the passenger to Codinate as the DRIVERS who Drive share a cab trip ACT very RIGID & PRICEY in order to pick up and drop the person few meters away from the pinned location.The whole conversation of being on the location were a waste of another 15mins on the trip.We finally saw the customer cancelling the trip and The driver drove back to the highway.
While having crossed Oberoi Mall Signal.The Same customer got booking of our cab again this time the customer insisted for the driver to pick him up as he was ok to come to the main road to avoid confusion.The driver went on the Oberoi mall road all the way on the left towards Goregaon east west flyover and got on to the UDIPI Vihar restaurant road.The driver finally managed to pick up 2 passengers from the same booking and we then headed back to my home location.The driver then suddenly told us that his CNG fuel is low and he would need to fill it before he moved ahead.I told him that its already been 30 mins past my time to reach my location he can get it filled post dropping me as m a lady and I would nt be comfortable staying out for any further time.The driver then kept grumbling but started driving towards my home location from the highway at Goregaon.Post this is where my further nightmare begin which I can never forget.The driver started speeding the Wagon R over 100 with rash driving of cutting lanes in between on the highway.Since I was seated next to the driver I had to literally hold the handle to Accomodate myself to the speeding as My head started spinning with the speed.I kept telling the driver to reduce the speed but he did not budge.On approaching my location I asked him as to why he was speeding so much he replied with arrogantly that he does not care about the speeding as his CNG was getting over and her did not want to drive on petrol.I told him that he should drive on petrol in case of emergency and not harrow passengers during their trip.He snapped again on me saying " if I have so many demands then why do I book a OLA Share.Really? I dint know that booking a OLA SHARE was considered degraded by the drivers as that passenger becomes Unimportant compared to a passenger who has booked a cab all by themselves.
On asking further whether he was new to driving he replied saying he was just a month old into driving.Both the male passengers seated behind also did not appreciate the way the driver spoke and MISBEHAVED.I found myself too UNSAFE with a driver like this coz driver’s who are aggressive are more prone for any kind of voilance or mishap.
Why Have I written such a long Review?
I have dropped 2 brief complaints through the app about the incident.There has not been any revert on my complain for the same over a week.I feel I should have shared this incident so that the women can be carefull and extra careful in using OLA services as there does not seem to be any monitoring on the complaints and grievances from the Companies end.One should not wait for a Mishap to happen and then act upon.A lot of negatives in the services of the company can be highlighted even in the feedback and complaints done by a customer.I feel extremely upset that I had to bear the brunt of a unruly OLA Share driver that too during midnight.
I urge OLA to kindly look into this matter on priority.
