I learned a big lesson.never book an OLA cab EVER. I didnt have very good experiences with this cab service before but this time it had crossed the limit. I had booked a cab for 4am last Monday since I had to catch a flight at 6am. I thought two hours prior booking was enough since Pune airport is less than 45min away from my place during the morning hours atleast. I had confirmed twice with the Ola guys on the previous night if my cab will be on time. They assured that I will get a message regarding the driver details half an hour before the pick up time.
It was about 3.45 am and I still did not receive any message so I panicked a little. I called up ola and they said that the cab was going to be 15 min late. If no cabs were available why did they confirm my booking earlier. I was quite angry but still thought I will reach on time somehow. I had to call them again since I had still not received the driver details and it was almost 4am. After receiving the divers number after 10mins I tried calling him. By that time I was panicking. And icing on the cake.his phone was out of coverage. I desperately tried calling him for 4-5 times but still the same. At that hour it was not possible for some alternate transportation also. Then I again called ola and blasted. They said they will get in touch with the driver and said sorry. As if an apology would get me on time to the airport.
Finally at about 4:25 the driver called and he told that my phone was not connecting. I could not hold my anger. Then top of it he said that his car had some tyre problem so he could not come. That was it. I was helpless. He muttered some apology which obviously was fake and I am so sure the whole story was made up. If they cant come for early morning pickups why do they even accept the request.
I was sure I would miss the flight. Somehow between tears and anger I ran down in the last hope to find a rickshaw which I finally did. And miraculously I managed to convince him to take me and reached the airport just on the nick of time.
But the whole episode taught me **never to rely on this fraudulent cab service called OLA** and I would recommend no one else to trust them too.
