Who gives a F**k about ur problems darling?

Older is not disappointment. Even if a cursory look at the album cover or to be precise an occasional hearing of the album may seem boring it is not so. George Michael kind of grows on you with his songs in Older. I have been listening to Older since 2000 and have not once had enough of it.

The Older certainly labels GM as an artist rather than a pop star. Released in 1996 Older looks like an introspective album. GM admits that he is getting oldernot age wise but in terms of maturity and in terms of learning the new ways of the world. The album appears sad and monotonous initially, but there is so much hidden in there. One has to re-run the tape/cd to get acquainted with the every nook n corners of the different songs. The music is light and mesmerizing.

In fact I find it very soothing, especially ?Jesus to a child?. There is something magical about this album, it is a work of art and one of the best. It would be extremely difficult explain in words the specialty of this album yet I shall give it a try. Olderis very smooth and organized. However it is also a bit oppressive. Older is just like a crackle chocolate. Smooth and tasty without nut but even more relishable with nuts on it.

Also songs like ?The strangest thing?, ?You have been loved?, and, ?Older? are too deep in meaning, lyrics and effect. Michael then was only 33 when the album was released, yet he showcased a high level of maturity and sophistication with the Older. He basically managed most of the things right from lyrics, music, playing the different instruments, etc. GM?s voice is absolutely soft and mellowed through out the album except for the track Star People. Every song in the album gradually grows on you and compels you to keep coming back. Not only this GM also reaffirms his Faith ( his other album) that he is a fantastic lyricist.

I think in spite of such magnificent piece of art as GM calls it the album cannot be called a masterpiece. Probably GM is satisfied with it and would one day rise to a higher order and create an album, which can be called a masterpiece.

Jesus to a child is a soft and mellowed track with very powerful https://lyrics. In some parts GM makes a moaning sound. I absolutely love his controlled voice and the affect is huge.

Fastlove is just as it sounds. A bit fast track. This seems a rather impatient song but GM surprises us all when he throws the lyrics on our face, ????if you are looking for some fast love, fast love is all that I got on my mind?.

It really doesn?t matter is an absolute masterpiece.A very mellowed track it almost sounds like a whisper.

The strangest thing is like a deep pit. GM seems to be stuck in it. The only way out is a cry for help. The song sounds just that. A lovable track. Lyrics are mind blowing.

Star People is a loud track. It mocks at the rich peoples habits. Again on your face kind track.

Overall, the album is great. I highly recommend it if you like soft tracks. The best thing about this album is it can be played while you are concentrating. It shall be there in the background as if it was never there. It never annoys you but relaxation would be the appropriate word. Also if driving through deep n thick city traffic the Older can act as a boon. Highly recommended.

For those of you wondering why such an absurd title for a music review?Well there is a song in this album called Star People when GM sings, ’......well nothing comes from nothing , and who gives a f**k about ur problems darling?’ This particular line has been sung very well.
