Why do people compare movies. Why can’t a movie be seen for itself?
I heard people comparing OSO with Saawariya then with Main hun naa and then with Karz. All movies are different in itself. Saawariya is artistic type movie. Main hun naa was on different theme. Karz was also different. Believe me I have liked them all.
Watching OSO was paisa vassol entertainment.
As this is after 110 reviews so I think everyone knows story but its about 1970’s where bollywood extra(SRK) is in love with the then successful heroin(Deepika). But they both are killed by the director villain(Arjun Rampal) They both are reborn in this new generation. SRK as a new superstar and Deepika as to-be actress. He takes revenge on now hollywood director(AR) but with the help of ghost.
There is not much is the story but the treatment of this movie is kind of fun.
Acting wise SRK rules though he is over the top sometimes but so what. His six pack body is inspiration to 40+ people that they can also do it.
Deepika is really very good looking sexy she has not much to do except look good. She will improve her acting with time. But good for the debut. She is just 19. In one interview she had told SRK that she watched DDLJ when she was 8.
I didn’t like Kiron Kher though she was usual but somehow I don’t like her.
Shreyas was wasted in the role I mean this can be done by anyone.
Arjun was ok for the role n pran type looks.
The movie has given tribute to Karz but this is more like madhumati where the ghost takes revenge along with the lover.
In the first half the parody of lots past actors with done, some with consent some without. One of them was manoj kumar he was very angry with how he was shown in the movie. Finally SRK & Farah khan had to apologise.
At the time of completion of the movie Farah khan is pregnant with triplets at the age of 42 and her husband is her editor Shisir Kunder who is 8 years younger than her.
Main attraction
1) SRK acting as south Indian actor
2) Deepika looking really good
3) Editing was really good especially in scenes with old actors with new ones.
also one scene where SRK(extra) takes Deepika(Heroine) for the car ride and they actually show how it was done in past.
Also when SRK is shown without hands, legs etc.
4) The scene where SRK gets award and he delivers dialogue out of past life was good.
5) One song with so so many stars in it. I mean it was a real treat to watch so many famous people in one song. But some people have different views for eg. Aamir khan stated somewhere that for him to be part of a movie even if it is for 1 min he should like the movie first then only he will appear. But for me watching all these stars dance was in itself paisa vasool. Also the songs were not out of situation. They all were well woven in the movie.
SRK Rules, Deepika Arrived with a bang AND Media can create hype. This is surely an over hyped movie hence public had lots of expectations. But if we go with open mind, then its watchable movie.
