This movie looked horrible on the promos but my girlfriend loves Shahrukh khan and she made me go and watch it, I wanted to watch saawariya which is I did last night and I will review later on. But this happens to be my first review on mouthshut so take it easy on the rateings you give my review I am still a newbie. Well going back to Om shanti Om as I said I really did not like the promos for it and was expecting a dud film. Lets me tell you one thing dont expect much of this film and walk in expecting nothing and you will come out happy.
The movie is a laugh riot in the first half, Om a junior artist in love with a female superstar set in the 70s. he falls in love with her and soon dies. we are taken in time to see a new Om re born and this time he is not talented but a superstar. Amazing scenes like at the filmfare awards flash back. Akshay kumar is in there a while. The first half is mocking the 70s acting it really does make you laugh, secound half is more seriouse then the first. Do look out for the song deewangi which last like over 7 mins and is amazing to watch Jeetendra and dhamendra are a treat to watch as we see them dancing after ages.
Shahrukh khan is the soul and heart of this movie he does amazing, nothing ward winning which wont matter as I loved Chak de India and I think that is award winning so this film does not hurt him he will be getting all the awards this year but not for OSO but for Chak de India. No I aint a SRK infact I hatted him IN KANK, Don and yes hatted him in kuch kuch hota hai infact I more dislike him but this year I think he does desurve something and he is improving. Deepika looks beautiful and does really well I love her dimples, she acts really well. Arjun Rampal is amazing his best performance till date and he plays the negertive role very well.
Music wise every song rocks Dhoom Tanna is really good, Dard de disco srks dances well and deewangi rocks, infact no songs are bad evan jaag soona lage has amazing lyrics
overal Om shanti Om will be breaking records in the coming weeks, I will review saawariya now and tell you if saawairiya is a miss or a hit..overal this one is a big HIT
