Reinventing movies

We have come to a sweet spot in bollywood’s timeline when the story telling is supreme and technology gets you whatever the artist had in mind.

this movie takes an intense actor like shahrukh into another odyssey that brings back to life the ada and the nakhre of bollywood, without the fantasia irritating the movie goer. the experience will bring back a lot of movie goers to the theaters and young audiences will love this glimpse into bollywood’s mostly non-observable reading of the moviegoer’s sensitive mind.

despite shreyas talpade’s best intentions he has not been able to get serious in his role but that does not take away the film’s lovely effect on you. the actors are superb, deepika padukone caries herself wonderfully in a very confusing role, the take offs on real characters of bollywood are amazing, though I did not see the need for using doubles as the originals that come into the party song are as good as any.

shahrukh is mellowing himself gracefully and the muted feel of shahrukh in the movie is good for another three-four years from the star.

as bollywood morphs, these experiences will survive as important milestones that mark its maturity and money making capacity.
