Om shanti om! Had a great expectations before watching the movie.Wow! that was an awful waste of time and thank goodness, I did NOT waste my money on this pathetic movie. The most disappointing factor of this movie is Shah Rukh Khans acting.
The first half of his Om Prakash portrayal was tolerable, but what happened to Om Kapoor? Why is he so pathetic? Acting was immeasurably annoying.too over-dramatic, gee, theres a limit to what one can take.
Its just disgusting seeing such a well-established, sophisticated, mature actor. Trying to look all swell like Salman or whoever but looking completely foolish. Why cant he just be a natural actor and not try to be like someone else for God sake. Moreover, the movie was fully predictable, exaggerated performances(cant figure out whether that was Farahs intention), a total masala movie, a dis to ones intelligence and a complete mockery of Indian Cinema.
I believe the only reasons to why it gained tremendous fame at the box-office are because of the countless star appearances and of course, SRK-FK pair. Otherwise I find no other reasons to why the movie is empowering the rest. However, I didnt expect much from Farah as a director but I did expect quite a lot more from SRK as an ACTOR. In the end, we always count on the actor, sometimes not taking much account of the direction.
Therefore, I would not recommend anyone to watch this movie if youre looking for some intense performances or a good story. But if youre willing to take the risk, then do so. Or unless youre an ardent fan of SRK and Farah, then theres no one stopping you.
