I never had a pleasant journey with Omer. I made mistake 3times and I have vowed not to any more and I can’t even bare the sight of thosebuses any more.
I usually travel from Hyderabad to Pune (round trips). Thistime with lots of hesitation I booked the tickets through Ticketvala and Omer travels because the pickup point is quite close to my office. I had booked 3days before in hand for 13 th Feb to Pune and I chose seat number 14. In ordernot to miss the bus I shelved extra money to auto to reach Ameerpet on time. Iwas there by 8:45. Bus was supposed to come by 9:15.
The time passed bus didn’tcome. At 10:30 I got a call that the bus is canceled and they have arranged aseat for me in a bus which comes at 10:30. He told seat number 24. Hmm. The buscame at 10:45 and I got in to see that some one else is sitting in seat number24.
And the bus.. Wow.. It was like a shi*t hole. When asked the busassistant spoke some thing impolitely and made me sit in the last row last seat.The bus threw me up and down though out the night and I had severe head achenext day. He reached Pune at 11:00 AM. I was supposed to reach there by 8:30AM. Thanks to Omer, they dropped me safely in Pune.
Then I understood thatshelving extra money to Ticketvala to book the ticket is of no use. After allthose also the seat is not guaranteed. That’s not all.. My return journey was the one which was horrible. I must thebiggest fool in the world that I had booked both the tickets for Omer travels.Round Trip. :) The bus was supposed to come at 7:30 near Jahangir Hospital. Iwas there on time as usual like fool waiting for the bus stuck in the traffic asusual. The bus came at 8:30. Ok.
I got in and looked for my seat. Seat 23. Ok.it is there and it is vacant. Great. I sat and tried to pull the back rest ofthe seat. It was not fixed. It was broken. It was lying in the lap of thecommuter who was sitting behind me. I asked the bus assistant and he looked atme as if it was not his problem at all. I had to nothing to rest my back on. Hesaid that he cant fix it in the running and asked me to wait until the busstops for dinner. I shouted at him to stop the bus and fix it right now.
Andwhat he dis after that is the high light. He got a cloth. He made me sit andpulled the back rest and tied it to the seat of the person who was sitting infront of me. Great. If the guy sitting in front of me goes back, I too go back.If he goes front I too go front. And it was like a mini jail. I was not able toget out of the seat. Because that tie stops me. Cool.
This worked for 3 mins.It broke. I yelled at him. He fixed it the same way again. It worked for coupleof hours. Again I asked him. He said that he will fix it in the Dhaba. Dhabacame. great. What he did, he got a telephone cable and fixed it. That workedfor couple of hours. I got up to go to him say that it is broken again. Butwhat I am seeing is pool of people sleeping in the floor.
I cant walk also. Hehas taken people in in between somewhere to make money for himself. I managedto go and tell him and he rudely told me that he cant fix it any more and askedme to sit on the floor with those guys. I said what the fuck!!! I asked him dou have any idea how much I have payed for this shi*t? I told him that I willgo to the consumer court and he will be in court soon.
He got scared. Hestopped at some place and got a rope and fixed it. Any way it was 4:00 by thenand I was with just one hour of sleep. He reached Hyderabad 2 hours late at 11and dropped me at Medipatnam telling that it is Nampalli. I saw the bus writtenon it 2 + 1 semi sleeper. Man I didn’t even had a seat to sit. I was late towork, dizzy at work whole day etc etc just because of this shi*t. I have nowvowed never to set my eyes on Omer Travels nor Ticketvala.
