The fist day, first show , I had really got into my boyfriend’s nerves. more because he really hated his guts out of Akshay Kumar. But I loved him, so I tried my best to convince him, and it really worked. A reminder though, some people say that I revolves around an unrealistic plot (as mentioned in one of the reviews earlier). But I disagree, because I believe I God. It would have been great if such things really happened.It really teaches people to work ethically and thats what I liked. Let me explain.
Kanjibhai is an ideal gujrati kanjoos businessman, he really loves his money, and does not care enoghfor his customers.He does not care whether his customers feels cheated due his exorbitant pricing. All he wants is profit. Albeit being a family man doen’t change his ideals.His wife is a polar opposite.She opposes his sense of business and continuously asks god to forgive her husband, like an ideal wife should. Customers know kanjibhai, but they find promise in him as he has always delivered the goods. Its antique after all, and people love them. Kanji is not exactly an atheist , he does not ballantly deny God’s existence. But he denies to acknowledge god’s works and really hates people who talk about him. Ans Kanji is not an ordinary business either, he is always ten steps ahead like a willy chess player. So he is well prepared for anythings, or so he thinks. But destiny had different plans for him. Here comes the twist an unprecedented calamity strikes. An earthquake that devastates kanji’s business, but Kanji had an insurance, but the story gets another twist here, he cannot use the insurance as the calamity was god made, Now a man who really hates god is pissed off at him .He decides to take God to court and make him pay for his damages. What continues is a hilarious tale of how god (Akki ) takes it upon himself to come down to earth and teach Kanji a lesson. And this is where the real excitement about this movie lies , so i’m not spoiling it for you’ll.So go and check it out yourself.
Paresh Rawal as Kanji bhai is the essence of the movie. He really makes us feel the hatred towards such unethical business practices and businessmen. He gets into the skin of his character and gives us yet another stand out comical performance. Akki does a good job of of potraying lord Krishna and was hilarious as always throughout the movie. After the debacle of joker, he has made a very good comeback.
The supporting characters played by Mithun chakraborthy and the debutant Niddhi Subbaiah does well to stick around. The songs and dance sequences are great, sonakshi joins a long list of actresses doing item numbers that to in the hrithik roshan dahi handi style, great going girliee!!! But its not as sleazy as the others so rest assured your kids can watch the movie too. Overall the performance of the cast was very good.
I applaud paresh rawal and akki for coming up with a very good theme. And brilliant work by director Umesh Shukla. I think you should really go and watch it. A real family entertainer. If you are looking for fun and social relevance dont look for logic thoudh because somethings cannot be logically explained.
