I would like to use the url here of a blog that I had wriiten regarding this movie which doesnt talk much about the movie as a story but more about the movie and its impacts and reactions.
Apart from the highlights here I have copied part of the text from my blog.
Highlights of the movie can be :
Abusive language has been the highlight of negative publicity.
The characterisations
The cast has been a surprise to many.
Music has been very good.
The adaptation and specifically the screenplay has been precise.

Saif was the star as not only for the character that he played but the effort put in always marks the difference in the performance. The directors role in focussing certain glances and stresses to make intense transitions in the situations without making it loud were perfect.
Kareena as an actress was remarkable coz the portrayal and characteristics of the character were crystal clear for the audience to make out.
Ajay was ordinary in the sense that he had maintained his regular standards of acting and I am not saying this as a bias towards him but there were scenes were one would expect slightly more conviction than was given.
Deepak Dobriyal is a lesser known actor. I do not know of his details but its clear that he is a trained actor due to his performance. He also appears in Vishal Bhardwajs earlier adaptation of Macbeth called "Maqbool".
Viveik Oberoi suited the role and the character demanded an underplay so was displayed by viveik and hence a very good portrayal indeed.
Naseer justified his bit and smooth sailed as a veteran of his calibre would without much effort.
Konkona Sen seemed to have only one issue before taking up this project and that was her comfort factor with Hindi and especially this dialect. But she did a fine job as per the dialogues were concerned and the acting was natural and superb.
Bipasha was surely looking for something to clear her thoughts and a certain reluctance and hesitation clearly visible in the character that she plays. It was quite apparent that she had missed a workshop for the actors for this movie. And hence she was missing the right thought, definition and practice required to portray her character. She was playing a character which was of small town music group dancer and there were times when she would look uncomfortable as in real life she was a high profile actress/model who is trying to do a role which involved lot of crude and rustic people with lusty gazes and reactions by them.
Its quite sad to know that she had some bad experience recently at the India-Independence Day function celebrated in NewJersey.
I found the entire movie spaced out wonderfully and strategically building up the conspiracy but the ending sequence ie., the last 5-10 minutes did not evoke the high pressured strong emotions amongst the audience. It somehow lost the grip coming to that stage. The reactions seemed to have no conviction from both the characters ie., Ajays and Saifs. Here Konkona Sen proved her mettle in getting the tension alive with the slightest of opportunity ie., little screen time that she had.
