Well, I saw this movie last night with my wife. Generally, I watch movies only after I have read a lot of good reviews from a cross section of the media and from word of mouth. The bottomline of the story is good as it has been adapted from Shakespears Othello. However, the picturisation is very poor. It has a lot of night scenes and you have to make an effort to understand what is going on in the darkness. Vishal has attempted to shoot it in hollywood style but my friend - those very night scenes could have been wonderfully shot - a la Guru Dutt style. There is a lot of learnings from his style of cinematography.
I am worried how people will be able to see it on Television or CD/DVD when the various channels air it. Especially the older generation will not be able to decipher anything - I am not worried about the use of bad words - The movie would have been much more beautiful with a lot of good visuals - Yash Chopra style.
