A person like me who likes to watch dark movies(ramu kind)this movie is a god given gift.I had earlier watched vishal’s maqbool nd I really liked it though it got bombed on box office(as it usually happens to movies liked by me)
I went to watch this movie with maqbool in mind(it was natural)coz I had really liked dark set up of it nd I can say that this movie equals if not betters the magic of maqbool(star cast has helped a lot nd thats y maqbool got flopped)
well the story as u all know (if u happen to watch 24*7 music channels atleast once in last few months)is based on othelo(i am not sure bout my spelling)i have never read it but whtever came out in media it seems to be a perfect adaptation .In my case , I had not read out so there was nothing to except in terms of adaptation issues.I just watched it from as an indian viewer’s point of view who likes to watch dark movies and I came out of the hall with my paisa more than vasool.
the story is based on envy, love etc etc all the human emotions bundled together but its the performance of the stars and the backdrop in which it has been keeps u glued to ur seats .My take on performance of each actor is given below:
ajay:-He always seem to fit into this dark cinema movies u can take ny movie like company etc(there t many other)he has played his part pretty well esp the insecurity of not being able to trust kareena completely
saif:-As u all may have got to know by now that he is the star performer of this movie the cunning langda tyagi I really like these kind of characters earlier saif has played a grey guy in "ek hasina the"but this movis is something special he has done this job well esp his talks with deepak(the guy kareena was supposed to marry)
kareena:-she looks good(as always)but she acts well this time (i hope she continues it)coz she has got the potential she just needs right director the movie in which I really liked her was "yuva" and omkara comes close second she was very natural in this movie all in all gr8 act nd she is coming in mani ratnam next movie with aamir (sounds gr8)
konkana sen sharma:-she is the icing on the cake she has very good lines(u can understand if u have watched movie)nd I think she is one performer(i am not using word "actress")to watch out for again she needs to work with right director
vivek:-He is good too but has been completely taken over by ajay and saif but still he has played whteverr he has got to play in this movie
bipasha:-well the songs were really good nd she looked gr8 through the movie(tits all I can say)
others have played there parts well too like naseer, deepak all in all its a kind of movie u want to watch again and again(also if u havent understood dialect for the first time)
