The story is set up in the 80s when the goons who helped people were termed as gods and above any law...this film talks about the story of a man who does the bad things but have his morals intact. he is Suleman Mirza (AJay Devgan). he is the king of Mumbai and no stone can be turned in the city without his permission. Enter his lady love Rehana (Kangna Ranaut) who is a famous film star and how he wins her heart is a really funny and romantic in a way.Shoib(Emraan Hashmi) is a small time thief who want to make it big and his lady love prachi desai who he lust upon.. well seems to be. The story is fab not in terms of content but in terms of presentation. You must have seen this kind of stories in films like company and D company, but this one is a little different as it shows the formation of a new era, era dominated by a mafia.....
Mirza is ruling Bombay with his allies and then Shoib joins his gang. he comes with new ideas, new thoughts and new morals of doing the business and this is where things go ugly in the gang. The story takes a turn with an unfortunate event that takes place with Rehana.
Well the USP of the film are its dialogue. I have nit heard such pieces of words in a long time. looked like there was poem going on especially in the 1st half. The cinematography was again awesome. 80s look was never missing from it, big moustaches, dresses and sets all were awesome. screenplay was tight, u wud never like to leave your seat or else u might miss something. Milan Luthria no words for your direction. talking of acting, Ajay steals the show, well completing what was left in Rajneeti. Kangana looked prettier than ever and was her usual self, Prachi was good with her part though a weak one, shown more as a slave rather a lover to shoiab. Well Emraan, feel sad for him because all the limelight was hogged by the BIG star Ajay Devgan, but you can’t remove the contribution that emraan makes to the film.there might not have been any other person to do the same job. Randeep Hooda in a special role did a fine job.
I would like to mention two most impressive scene of this film, one where the Kid Shoaib tries to steal coins from a public booth and gets caught. and another one where Ajay slaps Emraan. Music is impressive and background music is awesome.
All in all a must watch, surely recommended for everyone cuz this film has reserved sth for everyone...Happy watching...plz do comment...
