I fail to understand how the team of Once Upon a Time in Mumbai, could ruin the whole concept of the Underworld that the first part was based on, with what they have given us now. To start off with, firstly please do not go for the movie expecting anything about the underworld, except if you want to see how a Don falls in love and how his side kick falls in love and the drama after that which also by the way is not interesting but just a drag.
Imran Khan does not suit the role at all that he is supposed to portray, and nor does he do any justice to the character he is supposed to portray. The songs are bad, there is an overdose of dialogues to the point you can actually screech please mute the movie. To top it all they have dubbed Akshay Kumars voice in a scene where Chetan Hansraj is talking, I have no idea what they thought the public is some kind of fool.
We have the most wanted criminal of the country roaming freely across the streets of Mumbai, and the police never shows up. There is a scene in the movie, where our Don is wanted by the cops, so he goes into a police station, sees the surroundings of the police station, where all our cops are talking about our Don, but obviously nobody notices him, tears his wanted photo and walks out of the police station. I mean to say what, what the hell are you showing.
I honestly have no words and am flabbergasted with what I ended up seeing. The only saving grace of the movie is Akshay Kumars personality, his deliverance is good, but then again the overdose of dialogues by him is a turn off. Sonakshi also has done a good job, but then again with such a bad script and weak storyline, even their grace does not save the day.
Would like to end it by saying, please dont waste your time, energy and money.
