I have nearly read his entire collection. From his first book, Five Point Someone to the latest. I like the way, that how Chetan Bhagat writes his book in a very easy fashion. A reader does not need to be a professional writer or reader or someone that has read dozens of books.
The story is bad. The plot is weak and of course, the story is straightforward. There is nothing twist or something like a story hole that the reader has to make use of his or her brain. Its a simple and also the literally useless story. I thought that "The Girl in Room No 105" has the worst storyline. But this story is even grosser.
The story is simple, a normal couple who falls in love through online sites and decided to get married. On Karwa Chauth, the bride gets killed, basically, murdered by her own sister and the two people, the groom and his friend try to find the culprit and find her at last. The reason and the way that how they find it is actually too lame and boring. Its just like the story has been stretched out in a very boring way. Like its like a TV serial that has no storyline and a creator running it for 2 and a half years. The backstory of every character has been shown in a very common way. Like an uncle and niece relationship and they were addicted to drugs and alcohol. The way how they showed this personality is very bold and the remaining members are shown to sansakri type apart from all this a step-sister concept has been introduced here to make this book more emotional and more dramatic.
Characters have a very low profile. Like all of the characters have similarities like they all linked to each other in a very insane manner. All members even when they do not have a linked scene or a part where they all are not gathered. So I am expecting to have seen the evil side of at least her sister. But I didnt get any chance to see that. Also, the drug addict his uncle has multiple sides like, at somewhere he is a muscle man who protects his family, and on one side he did not care about them. A totally spoil rich man which is what I get a portrait of him. Also, the fact of even more spoiled rich girl that the culprit is also has a soft side that is love to the grooms friend and of course an evil side.
In conclusion, the story is what I hate the most about this book. Because the first that the reader will attract to is the storyline. Thats why Im giving only 1 star to it. The quality of readability that Chetan Bhagat all books has is like very simple. In fact, I have personally found some mistakes too. Some grammatical mistakes. Eventually, I like this book in terms of time spent. I have started this book actually to get rid of the boring time of my everyday 4 hours of local train travel and hence I literally get even more bored.
