It is better to buy a moral teaching book of primary class than buying this expensive and trash book.
I was duped, as most of the serious readers in india, because the book carried photo and statement of dr. Apj abdul kalam, who is a role model for scores of people, like me. I would request dr kalam to be cautious of people like the author, who misuse his name, good will and tarnish his image to sell their books.
I’m equally amused why on earth people like brian tracy and jack canfield gave his opinion for this pure master piece of trash. One should read tracy’s ‘million dollar habit’, ‘goals’ or ‘eat that frog’ or dr. Kalam’s ‘wings on fire’, ‘india 2020’ ; among others instead of wasting a single second on this book.
Why not to read:
This book and nothing new to offer. Leave newness, it does not even explain any of so called success factors even to some extent. For example ‘perfection’ was dealt in 17 lines, self motivation in 16 lines, self confidence in 17 lines among others. (yes i counted to prevent others from undergoing such traumatic experience.)
It lists factors like ego, greed, being nice (can you believe), anger, helping others and such factors, which are explained in any class v moral teaching book, in much much better manner.
To increase the number of pages, the author has included speeches (believe me full text) of steve jobs and jk rolling, which has taken 20 pages of this 100+ page book. Printing some one other’s speech does not show an iota of author’s writing, imaginative or creative skills, which i feel he does not have any.
It has nothing new to offer, not even a single letter, phrase or incidents related to famous personalities, which even a class v student won’t know, except of course that of author’s (who i feel is not famous, and by writing this book, he has no right to be famous).
The author is utterly confused as what he wants to convey and the cover page reads, ‘transform yourself for peak performance’; which is a very very cruel joke to the reader, who will feel utterly cheated after reading the very first page of the book.
Can you believe that dr kalam’s statement along with dr kalam’s phototgraph at the top of the front cover of the book reads: “i like the concept of “discover your passion”. And now the rude shock. The author has written only 121 words or only 11 lines (yes again i counted) on this topic on page 161. And that too is finest piece of trash.
Why to read:
Only if you have money to waste and collect the book with an intension of impressing your friends without even reading a single page, then this book is certainly for you. Still i would feel if you donate this money in charity, you will at least get some blessings, instead of anguish and frustration of wasting your money and time.
Like it has taught me, it will teach you, never to buy book based on photograph and comments of highly distinguished people like dr. Kalam and brian tracy.
Final verdict : drop this book like hiv infected needle!!!
