This is one of my most favourite movies with my most favourite stars.......Michelle Pfeiffer and George Clooney. This movie has enthralled movie lovers all over the world. A love story, fast-paced, very clean and can be watched with the whole family. How often can we get that.........? The two lead characters are one of the most goodlooking pair which I or anybody else(hope so) have seen with such an amazing chemistry.
The story........
Melanie Parker(Michelle Pfeiffer) is a single working mother who takes care of her son single handedly. Jack Taylor(George Clooney), single father takes care of his daughter while her mom has left for ’her’ honeymoon.
This is a story spanning within 24 hours in the lives of two single parents. From the beginning Jack Taylor is late picking up Melanie Parker’s son Sam who had a trip with his daughter and the whole class on a ship, they missed the trip because of Jack..There begins the feud between Melanie and Jack.
Michelle has been shown as a strict mother and Clooney, lenient father....Thus the cause of the clash begins between a man and a woman (who is better!!). Both the parents are struggling with no babysitters and too much workload.....
Must watch good scenes....
First one is where Melanie Parker has to present her design(she’s an architect) to her boss. She falls down and breaks the design she worked on because her son was playing a toy car and she tripped on it.........
Another scene, the interaction between Clooney and his daughter Maggie where she wants a cat and he is very confused how not to disappoint her.....Next scene, Melanie has to hide her son under the table from her boss, telling him that Sam was not her son.........amazing scene. The heart breaks when you see the look in Sam’s face. Maggie and Sam both are fabulous actors in this movie. Another scene...where Maggie has a game to play with Sam too.....touches your heart strings........aahhhhh....so endearing.
One of the best scenes in the movie is where Clooney and Pfeiffer.......their phones get interchanged......he has to attend her calls and she to his..........
Actors......
Clooney.......no word can describe him, his smile, his flawless acting, his matter-of-fact behaviour with Michelle Pfeiffer.
Michelle Pfeiffer is controlled in the movie with her acting skills at par........she’s a natural.
With whom to watch........
Whenever you feel down, this is the movie which you can rummage among your collection of CDs and watch it to boost yourself.
P.S:.......any movie that has a combo of Clooney with Pfeiffer is a sureshot hit movie which you can watch with your whole family or alone(depends on the mood).
Last scene.........the best ending where the lead characters fall asleep and the children looking on.
The role of the gold fish is very important and cannot be missed for sure............
