I am using Oneplus one for last one month and I want to give prospective buyers of this phone -an honest review. Now it is available through preorders but a month back one had to work hard for an invite because without invite you cant buy it through Amazon. But once you use it I can assure you you will never spend forty thousands for a flagship phone. It is really high end phone.
Its display is astounding. I have used galaxy S4, S5, HTC M8.LG G2.et all. but this phone bowled me out. Its double tap to open and close is very spot on. No glitches whatsoever. As smooth as silk. Totally reliable. Going through apps is silky. I wont bore you with the hardware specs. Snapdragon 801.3gb ram. Cyanogen Mod 11S.64gb internal memory.
Great sandstone back cover.very sensitive touch response. etc as user experience is what that really matters. On the very next day I did antutu 5.5 and I got 47388! I just could not believe. As days went by I could sense the latent power of this phone. When you buy this phone I tell you what will really strike you the most.it is the awesome display. Every time when you open the homescreen with double tap, it will put a smile on your face. Then the super sensitive and super fast Swipe keyboard.
Double tap to open and close. Initially I had to double tap the status bar to close but after some time it stopped working due to my choice of on screen navigation bar. Now there is even more easy way to close. Go to Settings- Quick gestures-now at the bottom there will be one arrow, place your finger on that arrow icon and you will find two circles one on the left and one on the right. As I am right handed I went to the right circle and as you touch the right circle you will find number of options appear onscreen. choose "close" . By doing this you have activated the onscreen close option.
So once you have activated this, to close the phone -touch the home screen button and drag it to the right hand circle, the phone will close. This is very handy thing for one handed use. Next the very fluid navigation through apps. The awesome camera. use it to believe it. 64 GB memory .oh my God! I have downloaded all the heavy graphics game like Real Racing 3, Asphalt 8, Mortal combat 5, Dead Trigger 2, Riptide 2. NFS most wanted. in addition to all the popular numerous apps, Full HD video songs, audio songs, hundreds of e books, hundreds of images.
Still there is 40 GB vacant in the storage. That is awesome. My 16 gb Galaxy S4 has only two high graphics games and it feels choked. Only 1 gb left in storage. I wonder how will I update to Android 5.0 lollipop which I have heard requires more than 1 gb.To think I bought Galaxy S4 at Rs 30k. Now I feel robbed by Samsung. Speakers are loud but flat.no bass. but when I used the Nokia Coloud earphones or headphones the sound quality blew me away. Same effect with Sony earphones. There is a fast charger provided in a separate box which really charges double fast.
The battery outlasts all other batteries in the same category.Battery is 3100 mah. Lasts two days despite having 5.5 FHD display. Play some full hd videos in front of your friends and watch them gape at the display. The big screen just comes alive with fantastic visual effect. Rest you can know from the net. Like specs and all. I havent delved into the UI of Cyanogen 11S( Android 4.4.4) of this phone. There is absolutely no lag or stutter of any kind. I am still new to this UI. Let me get full feel of it and I will give detailed user experience in the next article. This is not a review but first hand user experience which I am sharing with you all through the fantastic swipe keyboard of Oneplus one.
The keyboard is so sensitive and fast as I am writing on it. There is no yellow band issue which I have heard when browsing the net about this phone. The Oneplus One I received was just fine and perfect. The delivery was super fast by Amazon.in & the courier being the FedEx. I still cant believe I bought this beast for so less. No branded flagships for me from now on. I pity myself being duped by big brands for so long. Now I am waiting for Oneplus two. One thing I should admit. Oneplus does not skimp on quality or cut corners. They are generous people when they created this phone. Whatever they have provided for this phone(as mentioned above) are in abundance. Branded companies should take some lessons from Oneplus One

After few weeks of heaviest use this is my followup:
This is my followup review for Oneplus One. A comparasion with the flagships. The Oneplus one had competition from the Note 4, iPhone 6 Plus, Nexus 6, DROID Turbo, Moto X and many more. But I wanted to deeply reflect on what my experience has been like all these weeks later. Oftentimes you have this honeymoon period with a device where things are great and everything works perfectly. But as you use it, issues begin to arise, and suddenly you realize maybe the phone you bought isn’t what you expected. With the OnePlus One, the experience has held up admirably over the past few weeks . Since then, the OPO has been improved quite a bit thanks to CyanogenMod tweaks, while the hardware is still as premium as it was on day one. For a device that’s so affordable, it’s impressive how the design and durability has stood the test of everyday wear and tear. I’m still convinced it’s some of the best hardware seen in the past five years. Beyond just pure aesthetics and performance, the OnePlus One’s battery still manages more than a full heavy work day, and the software is more fun to use than ever. I’ve used a lot of Android over the past several months, and I especially like using Lollipop. But CyanogenMod 11s, made especially for the OnePlus One, is still a contender for my favorite mobile OS. If ever there was a phone to introduce yourself to the CyanogenMod world, the OPO is it. All that said, the OnePlus One still can’t out muscle some of the big boys, particularly the Note 4. For one, the OPO doesn’t have a removable battery, nor does it have expandable storage. But in Oneplus One support I can say that this phone supports 64 gb dual usb(sandisk) with ease( I use this and it is very convinient)and quality of battery is superb . It simply goes on and on. I am also using my friend’s Note 4 and it is a fantastic phone but I sincerely feel OPO is no less. Note 4 has hundreds of other useless functions which are seldom used by me. Dont know why Samsung burdens customers with this nonsense . It should be left to customers. These functions cannot be deleted even. Customisability is literally absent in Note 4.The Note 4’s higher resolution display is much easier on the eyes(not that the One’s screen is bad). However, even though the One doesn’t match the latest superphone spec for spec, it has still held up well over the past few weeks, and the experience has remained top notch
