After a disastrous run with an LG phone(LG L5), I needed a phone worth using. My budget was high, not high enough for an iPhone though.
This new company, marketing theirFlagship killer immediately caught my attention. I wanted to go for Huawei Honor 6, but it was available only on Flipkart and was out of stock for a really long time. OPO was available only by an invite. I luckily received an invite and ordered it. The rest, no one will say, is personal history.
The screen is huge, the phone is thus, large. A phablet as they call it. It is thin and easy to hold. To give you a grip, they have this velvety back which is very good to touch anyway. The camera is awesome, but the front camera is slightly lacking. Will not matter much for a person who does not take a lot of selfies.
The buttons are placed appropriately. Phone software is Cyanogenmod 12, works smoothly with plenty of free themes. Lags hardly, games are smooth. I hardly found any game/app which showed lag. Heats up fast when playing a high quality game(Lara Croft Relic Run). The battery holds up nicely for a day and gets charged in a little more than an hour. The battery drains rather quickly when playing high quality game.
All that I needed and one may need for regular use, I got here. It fell from my hand a couple of times(stupid slippery back cover). I did not see any performance reduction after that. I used that tempered glass screenguard, maybe that helped. The back cover was too thin to do anything, it was just for style.
So, all in all, worth your money. The next version is out, OPO 2 and X, but this phone still is comparable to many in the market. Will easily last you years before you need the next.
