I bought OnePlus One in first week of Jan 2015 and it makes me smile every single day.
It has been over 4 months since I bought the OnePlus it and it has not given me any reason to complaint so far. It is performing amazingly and there is simply no lagging down.
How to get it: It took me a few days to get the invite but it was easy enough, all I had to do was to subscribe to their official forum and participate in communication and I received the invite withing a few days. I will just cover the most important features that we look at when we buy a phone in most simple words:
Screen: Its 5.5" is simply brilliant. Color reproduction is perfect and it is very responsive and smooth.
Battery: It once lasted me over 4 days on minimal use. Can you imagine that?
On normal use, it gives over 2 days regularly.
Design: Classic yet modern and the phone looks amazing even if it is lying on my table in standby mode.
RAM: 3 GB. one of the best even today. Makes multi-tasking very smooth and there is never any sign of lagging.
Memory: Go for 64 GB version. I cannot imagine myself filling up that amount of memory any time soon.
Camera: 13 mp primary camera and 5 mp front camera. What else do you need?
Live mode changes, you can take pictures while capturing a video. Easy interface and no time lag in capturing images at all.
Value for money: It is an amazing value for money device. You need to spend alteast over 40 thousand rupees to get the same kind of specs and quality from any other company.
Brand: well its a new company and this is its first product so of-course you do not get the tag like Nokia or apple or Samsung but it has gotten a cult-following of its own. The company itself listens to the users and interact actively via social media and their official forum. The community itself is lively and you can get any of your questions answered within minutes.
Support: Well I bought it from Amazon which is a trusted provider. And it has a service center in Andheri Mumbai so I had nothing to worry about.
Cons:
No headphones included in the standard pack. But you can spend a few hundred rupees and get some good ones.
It heats up a bit during charging but have realized that it happens only when I almost drain the battery. There is no heating when I charge it when there is still 30% or battery left.
If you are in the market to buy a smart phone and have a mid segment budget of 20-25 thousand rupees then you cannot get a better deal. Go for it!
