I bought this phone and found the packing of the phone extremely beautiful. And the functionality and looks best ever. I was quite happy with the phone. Camera pictures-no match ever. I clicked low light pics in HDR mode and was quite impressed with the quality of pics. Music output-best ever. It has extra bass, treble and space settings. I loved the interface. The user interface and operating system CynogenMode 12 impressed me. I did not play any game because I don’t play games on my phone.
I compared my phone with my brothers phone. One of my brother has Google Nexus 5. In speed test, Google nexus won opening apps in a less time than Oneplus one. But pictures qualities-Oneplus one was far better than Nexus 5. So I was happy. Best of all, Oneplus one can record 4K videos but Nexus 5 can not. I was impressed. While playing a 4K video song on both devices, Google nexus got hanged and oneplus one won. So I was damn happy.
My elder brother has bought Samsung Galaxy A7. So I compared it to Galaxy a7 which is way more expensive than oneplus one.
Camera comparison
Neck to neck results. Sometimes A7 gave better pics some times oneplus. But I will give oneplus more marks than a7. Becuase it was my handset. The major difference was in screen quality A7 has super AMOLED screen so the colors were more appealing in A7. Contrary to this, oneplus had a comparatively dull colors. But it was satisfactory.
Now comes the heating issues. And no-Oneplus one does not heat. It just heats a little bit, near camera, while charging which is not a big issue. But A7 was heating like Iron plate while charging and I was not able to even hold A7 while heating. So You can imagine heating was that much in A7. But one plus was better. Charging time for full battery charge for one plus was 2-2.5hrs. And it had 15-16hrs of battery life a day. I used Whatsapp, FB, Insta, Tinder, Mails, Surfing, Wechat and played audio, Video songs during that time lapse and it lasted for 14 hrs. So it was OK OK performance.
It doesn’t come with headphones. So watch out guys.
It had been 6 days I was using this phone oneplus one and I was quite happy. But one day while charging its screen was not getting off. I checked the settings and I carefully examined everything and discovered that batter charging was dropping. I looked at the LED charging light. I was blinking. Some times it would show charging and some times it would show the charger has been removed.It was a big issue for me. I was upset.
I was in direct sunlight and took my phone out to call someone. But the screen first become brightest and then it went dimmed and I was not able to see anything on screen. I was upset. Locked and unlocked the screen and it was back in normal brightness level.
Some times the power button started giving problems but thanks to double touch wakeup option. So I mean the power button was sometimes not working.
I decided to return it in order to avoid any further disappointments with the phone.
I was satisfied with the phone. but it gave me problems. It may be with me only
People have talked so much good about the phone. So, I would not repeat the same thing. I will try to explain my experience on other points.
Screen Some people have complained about yellow hue in the screen, but I didn’t feel so. I find the colours quite accurate and the screen bright enough.
Voice quality Voice quality is just average on the phone, but in the whatsapp calls, the quality is too good. Hence, I believe the voice quality during calls can be bettered using firmware upgrades.
Sound quality This is one area, which has not been reviewed properly. Sound quality is one of the best you can find in any phone. Channel separation and the clarity is really good.It has proper bass, mid and treble balance. Use a good headphone or earphone, and it will reward you in the form of musical bliss.
I bought the one plus with very high expectations but I guess they were short lived.
The packaging of the product is impeccable and feels like a birthday gift. But the performance played the spoilt sport for me.
Battery Issue
The very 1st day I used the phone its battery dies out in 6 hrs which was surprising. my usage was nothing but wifi and a 30 minute call.

The phone started hanging and responsiveness to the power button was very sluggish.
In all I could have been a victim of a defective piece of the product. I have ordered a Iphone but lets see how that turns out.
