OnePlus Two, Value for Money

The OnePlus One was one of the most sought after smartphones of 2014. And now, once again from the house of OnePlus come another high-performance, low-cost yet powerful device, a sequel to the first, and known as 2.

While the OnePlus One was mostly plastic-built, the 2 comes with the sides surrounded with sturdier metal frame, and includes the five different rear covers.

There are more than enough features added in OnePlus 2 that might keep you hooked, but the most important one that is the highlight of the device is its fingerprint scanner function. Found in the likes of Samsung Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6, this one uses touch recognition rather than swipe-based input found in Galaxy S5. The OnePlsu 2 users can configure at least five fingerprints, and also for a Guest Mode. But at times, the button seemed unresponsive or slow to respond when using fingerprint to unlock the handset, though most of the time it worked well. The UI is quite smooth but at times it felt buggy and crashes after hours of usage. OnePlus needs to work on this.

The OnePlus 2 is without a doubt great smartphone, but it loses the points on few things: the heating issue and while the fingerprint scanner seems a good addition, its accuracy isn’t great. Other thing that might make the masses lose the interest is OnePlus 2’s only Invite purchase option. Overall, if small snags aren’t of much issues to you, then OnePlus 2 is true bargain phone and sure to give the flagships a hard time surviving.
