One Plus 3 after 3 months of useage

Brought this mobile for one of my family member after the sudden demise of iPhone 5S due to screen and battery issues. So suggested to give a try for this phone. Its been more than 3 months now and below are my observations.

Build Quality: Phone feels really premium to hold in hand with all uni-body metal build made up of aluminium. Bezels are really nice and due to this phone has got a good grip to hold. Due to the presence of gorilla glass 4 screen on this phone, its really difficult to get any scratches on the phone and any occasional drops will not hamper the screen. The finger print scanner which is embedded into the home button is really fast and accurate. You can unlock the phone in around 0.15 seconds.

Performance: With latest Snap Dragon 820 SOC processor and 6 GB of ram this phone is a real beast. It handles all the day to day tasks efficiently without any lags. OP3 barely gets warm even after playing memory hogging Asphalt 8 and NOVA 3 for more than 30 minutes. Its heat handling mechanism is really remarkable. We have hardly faced any performance issues till date. Call quality is excellent.

Battery: This phone comes with a non removable battery of 3000 mAh, type -c port for charging and comes with a dash charge technology which can charge the phone to 50% in 20 minutes which is again remarkable. Once fully charged, you will get around full day of charge with moderate to heavy usage.

Camera OP3 has a rear camera of 16 mega pixel from SONY which has optical image stabilization and electronic image stabilization. This makes sure that your photos are crisp, sharp and not blurry. The autofocus works really fast and quick. Very rarely you feel the need to tap on screen to refocus. You can shoot HDR photos and 4K videos and the quality of the pictures and videos is outstanding and best in class. How ever photos clicked during low light could have been better as compared to the images clicked from Samsung S7. OP3 also comes with a 8MP front facing camera which can click nice selfies and can also be used for video calling.

Display and UI: OP3 comes with Oxygen OS which is based on Marshmallow. Though it has been customised by One Plus, it looks more of a similar to stock android. If you are a fan of stock android you will love this. There’s nothing fancy on the UI front.

OP3 has a 5.5 inch screen size which has a display resolution of 401 ppi. It can play HD videos. Colours are not as vivid as the ones seen on Samsung Galaxy S7 Amoled screen. It can play most of the formats. Audio is loud enough compared to other phones.

Overall Conclusion: Go for this phone if you are looking for a phone in the range of 25-30K. Its definitely a flag ship killer of the year 2016.
