The most hyped flagship- you decide

Like xiaomi, another chinese brand the one plus has been able to secure a quite good reputation, hype and love in the Indian market. Oh yes in case of 0neplus it is international. The main reason behind their succcess was by providing unbeliveable awsome perfomance in a budget which none other has done before.

But, Things have changed a lot as every year the prices of oneplus devices kept on increasing and this year too, so is this the real flagship killer at the price it comes? Lets discuss-

In terms of design it looks quite simillar to the last years 1+ 3 and the 3t from the front but, the back is almost different and somewhere it looks a replica of the iphone 7+ with its same location and design of the placement of the rear camera along with dual lenses. However that assumption is only visual because when you hold the device on your hand it has a completely different feel due to its curved edges and if not less the ome plus logo. Also as the device is made from unibody metal it feels quite solid and no complains about fingerprints like most other glass back flagships have.

The front has the 5.5 inch full hd amoled display along with the capacitive home button which is also the fingerprint sensor.

Perfomance- The latest flagship Soc 835 from snapdragon handles everything very well and even gamming perfomance is quite good. Also this device don’t heat up easily under normal teperature which is again a bonous. This also has 6 or 8gb ram which handles everything without killing any background app.

Battery- Oneplus has always been able to impressed everytime and this time the battery is again satisfactory although it is 3300mah  which can’t offer battery life like budget phones with large battery. But you will never complain because of the dash charge capabilities or just carry a oneplus powerbank.

Software- Oxygen os is just only in name a custom rom, it feels almost like the stock andriod. Also the good thing is that it provides gurantee andriod updates and which makes me feel like using a nexus device and thats a good thing because after google has brought the pixel replacing nexus it has been hard for nexus fans to get them in a accessable price, remember the price of nexus5? Yes it ia currently running 7.1

Camera is really increadibly and is much better than previous generations, also the dual camera setup is quite useful for taking pictures and making the booked effect like dslr. In terms of mega pixels they are a combination of 20mp and 16mp sensors. Also the front is 16mp. This is also good for recording videos upto 1080p with image stabjlisation which is sadly software based. But at 4k it is totally shaky and also does not make much sense as most owners don’t have a 4k display to watch those videos.

Network is not an issue at all and has very good call quality along with 4g. Also it has proper dual sim slots on the age of hybrid slots which I hate.

Conclusion: Yes, this is really the flagship killer but only for the 64gb variant that costs just 33k. If you want extra storage I would suggest you to get a compact otg drive which can even fit your wallet as those are avilable nowadays from sandisk.

The only reason for you to get the 128gb is only if you are a oneplus fan boy!

Reason: The 128gb variant cosys about 38.5 k and considering the price better go for the lg g6 whch even has a new genaration type full vision quad hd display and even a better audio output also it supports sd card and not any feature bad than the one plus5 unless the 821 Soc but the thing is on daily usage no one can find any difference.

And yes if you are a heavy music listener and not a one plus fan boy you might go with htc10 although it is last years flagship at around 33k because it has evrything all right but as I said for music let me tell you it has high res audio dac which only few phones have, making your music experience to the next level.
