What I liked:

1. SCREEN: The screen is in the new 18: 9 aspect ratio and because of that it looks very nice. The screen is of very good quality manufactured by SAMSUNG. Brightness levels are also good. Even in direct sunlight, it was fairly visible.

2. CELLULAR CALL QUALITY: No issues regarding cellular call quality and network reception.

3. SPEAKERS: It has a single bottom firing speaker and the audio output via it is fairly loud and crisp. Had no problems while taking calls with loudspeaker.

4. SENSORS: It has all the necessary sensors. The autobrightness sensor has been calibrated very well in this device; I did not have to manually adjust the brightness level.

5. PERFORMANCE: I haven’t noticed any lag whatsoever. The general performance is very good and RAM management has also been done very well on this device. After Google Pixel 2, it is the most fluid Android device you can get in India. And the new Oxygen OS is also very close to pure stock Android.

6. 3.5mm HEADPHONE JACK: Thankfully, it still has the headphone jack. The audio output is also quite good. No complaints regarding that.

7. BATTERY LIFE: It can last a full typical working day. I was getting screen on time anywhere between 5.5 hours to more than 6 hours. And the DASH charging ( fastest fast charging in the industry) charges the phone from about 20% to all the way upto 100% in less than an hour, which is insane!

8. GAMING: It handled most of the games without any problem. But while playing Asphalt 8, I noticed some minor frame drops. Apart from that, the gaming performance is also very good. It doesn’t have any overheating issue.

9. CAMERA: Camera performance is very good in natural as well as artificial lighting conditions. The pictures have very good colour reproduction and dynamic range. It also supports 4K video recording and implements Electronic Image Stabilization.

10. FACE UNLOCK: It has the fastest face unlocking. It is not secure as the FACE ID on iPhone X, as it uses only the front camera to do so, but yeah, it works well and is very fast. It also has a very fast fingerprint scanner on the back.

What I didn’t like:

1. It does not have any dust or water resistance. At least, OnePlus has not officially confirmed any kind of dust and water resistance on this device.

CONCLUSION: It is the best Android smartphone that you can get in this price bracket.
