I’ve been using this phone for the past one year. Initially there were minor glitches related to software, but when we kept raising our concerns in the OnePlus community, our concerns were addressed by providing multiple software updates. Within the first one or two months the concerns were addressed and this phone became enjoyable. Since this was a new model in the industry, I was patient for the glitches to be corrected and finally I was able to reap the benefits by enjoying a good phone with no glitches or problems.
I bought this phone mainly for the looks as I loved the sleek body with curved edges. Very stylish looking. But if we use any additional cover for the phone, the look might get spoiled. The weight is also less and wont be tiring to carry around. There are lots of good options in this phone for personalisation, different types of settings, etc. The speakers are good and the sound quality is also good. Now coming to the camera, it has lots of features. I have not even explored all the features inside still. It has that many features. The back cam is awesome as expected. The front cam is a pop up cam which is very quick when we want to take a selfie. There is also an amazing feature which makes the pop up camera retreat back in if the phone is dropped from our hand while taking selfie. The camera senses the fall and goes back in before hitting the floor. I was amazed by knowing about this feature! A very intelligent phone. Coming to the performance, I have used around 7-8 apps at the same time by toggling between different apps at the same time and the phone has never slowed down and I have also never faced any heating issue. I have also played multiple games in the phone and I have never faced any lag.
The only con I have with this phone is people & reviews say it is water proof. However, there is no waterproof certificate. So we have to keep the phone carefully without dropping into water or getting wet during rain as we cannot claim guarantee if water enters the phone. I also came to know through some resources that, if OnePlus had got waterproof certification, the price of the phone would have increased a lot like Samsung phones as they have to pay a heavy price to get the phone certified. If it was a lesser price phone, I wouldn’t be expecting this feature. But since I paid ₹; 54, 000, I was expecting this feature too.
On an overall note, this is a very good phone for a good user who uses phone for more than 10hrs a day with good gaming. Worth the money we pay.
