It was Late 2002 when our Old Onida TV had a problem due to lighting struck somewhere near by. We had used that Onida for almost 16 old years before it went for a replacement. By this time there were lots of brands and new features coming up in television.
Now it was time for me to go for a hunt. First choice in electronic media was of course Sony. I went to Sony Showroom. Where they show me lot of their collection but none less than 25, 000 range. I was surprised that how come Sony is not having any Television less 25, 000 range. Its was going beyond our budget line. Next stop was BPL as lots of my friends went for it.
By looking at samples I was wondering for what reasons they went for that Television. Not a clear picture not proper sound but price wise it was less than Sony. but only price was not an issue for me. As our Onida was so durable with us for near about 16 years so I decided to have a look for Onida also. Near to our locality one new showroom was opened in which lots of chambers were made for good Power house and Music system. Inside one of the chambers they had kept one Television. I was going through all the television on the store and suddenly I had a view on this Television.
I asked Showroom Personnel why that TV is kept there. He said sir follow me to experience new model by Onida. I went there and he just on the television. It was very clear and then he put on channel V. As it was chamber so music was coming so beautifully that I thought lets go for this Television only. Then he said sir best thing is still to come, I was wondering what else this TV has? suddenly he on The KY Bass System, Oh my God every person on the showroom was watching towards chamber.
The glass was shaking and I can feel the sound waves on my body. If you thinking I m joking please check with the TV in any showroom. That was final that I have to take that TV only. I asked about the price, it was 20, 000 INR that time. We had taken that TV and started enjoying music on it. It has 600 WATT output which is more that our Sony 1800 WATT Powerhouse. The Tv’s Picture quality is very fine. Lots of setting can be done through remote only which showroom personnel only will know. It has a Bass Bluster which is a Woofer.It is a separate attachment. TV has 6 in built speakers including woofer speakers.
Different mode of selection for music lover. It has a special feature of Music mode where if you want to listen only music from CD player you can do it. In this mode TV screen will be off but still speakers will be on for power saving. We never had any problem with TV as we had used it for approx 7 years. Still KY Thunder is Thundering and I bet still there is no TV in India which has that much thunder in sound with so much of clarity.
