Headache of a brand

Pls do not buy this (or any other) Onida product, if you value your peace of mind. I bought this Microwave, thinking that my old IFB had become too old. In the last 2 years, the Onida has already broken down twice.


And every time, getting a service person to look at it is the biggest nightmare you can face. You can call till the cows come home, but nobody cares.


The first time, I got a service engineer to come over, after calling the VP Marketing’s office and threating to go to consumer court. This time, my microwave is still awaiting someone to fix it, after having logged a service request on 5th of May 08. That is almost two months now. And no sign of it being fixed yet.


If you check on the net, this is the consistent problem all consumers are facing. They sell you cheap chinese junk and let you hang when quality problems crop up!


In the meantime, my old IFB (which I thought was too old) is still running non stop after 8 years!


If you pay peanuts, you will get monkeys. I will never touch Onida again!
