Beware of 5.1 analog output in dvd player

Dear Users,

Be aware of the claim a lot of companies make in having analog or separate 5.1 output in their players like ONIDA, BELTEK, AKAI, BPL, VIDEOCON etc. etc. at the price level of around 4500/-. You all can check the site https://dolby.com to know the list of companies in world having license to use their digital decoders in their units converting digital output from dvd to 5.1 analog one.

In INDIA the companies like LG, PHILIPS, ONKYO, SAMSUNG are licensed by DOLBY and hence there players carrying the real authorized dolby decoding PCBs for analog 5.1 output, are priced above 5500/- minimum. In that also most of the companies are unable to offer DTS decoders in real though they claim in their adds. They just give a digital pass to this signal from laser.

The cheaper players just use one low quality digital signal processor may be from China, to get you some tracks through the rear handsome looking 5.1 outputs. Hence, if you really need to enjoy the proper decoded channels from dolby or dts encoded videos, compare the outputs from such kind of players with a licensed one, your ears are enough to make u understand the reality.

I hope this information will be of some use to the users really looking for separate decoded channels from movies, as they are suppose to be....
