Onida Hydroshakti washing machine - tub leaking
Last complaint No. 2865 dt. 10.01.2004 to Onida Complaint Centre, Delhi
Dear Sir,
I am Onidas customer since last fifteen years. I have used Onida TV for last fifteen years then happy with the service I again bought another Onida TV which is now seven years old. I also have a semi auto washing machine which is 9 years old and I now again bought a Onida Hydroshakti but having problem since I bought. I was really happy with Onida services previously and have recommended to my friends also. But, this time I was really pained to see your service with the new machine.
I had bought Onida Hydroshakti in the month of June from a dealer at Mahavir Enclave in New Delhi. First time he supplied a broken machine and exchanged with a machine with which I am in a problem since day one. Initially the dealer did not send anyone from company for demonstration so the machine was kept unused for two months.
After several complaints when no one came for demo then I myself contacted onida service centre for a demo. Since then I started operating the machine. The first day I operated the drain was not working. The water was in the tub but I was unable to drain. Then I again complained and that was turned right with some old string.
I asked the engineer to replace the string which seemed to be broken then it was changed in the second complaint. Then I put water in the machine the tub started leaking and also when the spinner revolves water leaks from spinner to the wash tub. Then I complained the engineer said all machines leak. I do not know why your engineer said this. What do I do with my once used new machine. Can you please send a senior engineer so that he can check if it has a genuine problem and replace the same.
Onida engineers are taking so long I think they are waiting for the warranty to be over so that they do not have to replace the same.
Now, it will be really one year with the machine but no action is taken. Kindly arrange to send a senior engineer and replace the machine at the earliest if your engineer sees genuine manufacturing defect. I am totally under loss. Last complaint lodged with your complaint cell at Delhi is Complaint No.2865 dt. 10.1.2004. You can well see how many times I have complained for my new machine checking your records with you service centre at Badarpur.
