New product problems



  • Glass plate got broken within first few uses and now I am asked to pay money to replace it




  • Product demo was given after 3-4 weeks of purchase




  • Product was delivered late




  • Service centre sucks




  • Product demo guy doesn’t have knowledge apart from manual.




  • Scratch card gifts are not received even after many weeks of purchase






Onida 21 Black Beauty micro wave oven


Following is the overall experience:


I bought Onida Black Beauty 21 few weeks back. And the problem started from there:


Initally dealer said its available and when we decided on model and said we want to buy, he said its out of stock and will be dlivered after few days. After 2-3 follow up the product delivered. Dealer promised for giving scratch card and it was not available.


Follow up with Onida started for demo. It happend after 3 weeks. The person showed how this works almost all the same as it was written in manual. couldnt answer questions.


AFter demo, we started using product next day and in 2 use the turntable got broken automatically while baking 1 pizza. form 1 side the glass just fell down in the microwave only. We heard some sound and switched off microwave. After opening realized a part of glass turntable was cracked automatically. Neither pizza was cooked nor anything else apart from glass is broken.


We contacted Dealer, he said the piece might be defective.


Now we called up service centre for complaint and the person turned up after 2 days and looked at it said he will tell us what to do. No response no action.


after another week, launched another complaint, no body turned up, a call came in saying we have to pay Rs.790 to get it replaced. And after explaining that its defective piece the person said he will talk to his manager. and no response.


I called up the manager after taking phone from service centre and he said, since its a genuine case we can give concession, and we have to pay Rs.500.


We searched on net for Onida and send mail to response@onida.com.


Its three days the person replies mail once a day and no resolution.


So after paying more than 7000 and many weeks, product is broken become useless, service not responding, and frustrating.


No body cares to response and resolve the issue.


We had done many follow ups for scratch card. and got it finally. But gifts are still not delivered. Onida says dealer will provide(after collecting from Onida), dealer says Onida will provide. Net result we are still waiting.


Today, after a week again, I called up Onida Customer service centre to know status of my complaint and they responded back the complaint has been closed. But as a customer, Microwave is still in same state, turn table is broken, no resolution. I am just regretting to make decision to buy this product. If you are planning for ONIDA MICROWAVE DONT BUY because of following reasons.
