Hello people, this is my first review on this site. Well, I am planning to buy the Onida DFX-8080 DVD Player that is the latest product offered by Onida. Available at very few retailers around my place, so its better if you contact the Authorised dealer directly for a gauranteed product. I just got a chance to have a demo run at the dealers place, and played it for around 10 to 15 mins continuously (going by the previous onida dvd player reviews) It went smoothly, there was no sound disruption or other issues. It did have a DTS kinda sound effect and was very well adjustable using the remote, allthough the remote could have been made a bit simpler. I got a chance to play couple of DVD, and MP3 CD and it worked fine. We even connected it to a Onida TV (wih sub woofer) and played a DVD movie, it gave a really good sound. It was a pleasure to hear it. Overall, it seems to be a good buy and that too at a price of around Rs. 4500. However, I did not buy it, so let me know if anyone has tried it at home and also knows of any other features (user friendliness, connectivity to other devices, first-time setup) not mentioned on their website.
