I was in love on first sight with the TV.
Pros - Sexy Design, Powerful BASS audio, comes with an elegant TV stand, Big Screen
Cons - Lousy on usability, Complex remote for the common user, buttons too small on remote, curves on the corners (and DVMC doesnt help either). Do not even think of having a closer picture quality to that of a SONY. Best test would be on the NDTV channel, you can see the below scrollers, bulged in the center and thin on the corners.
SECRETIVE PEEK-A-BOO: Did anyone try to play a DVD using this TV?? You can definitely find a thin embedded line running from the top to bottom on the left side of the screen. It will be quite prominent in the BLUE DVD - loading screen or in scenes with a lesser brightness.
I checked it across various outlets and ONIDA itself admits that it is a signalling fault. I dont know how it passed the Quality tests. Though it might not be prominent, a person looking for a perfect TV will be dissapointed.
When I asked them to replace the set with a one without the fault, they were not able to do it. They ADMIT that it is a production failure.
But for this and the usability issues, I still love my TV. I hope some one at ONIDA is reading this and gets the input to the RIGHT people at their labs.
