Bought the complete Asterix collection with 34 titles from Snapdeal for close to Rs.10, 000/- and it turned out to be the worst online buying experience of my life. This particular item comes in a beautiful box to accommodate all the 34 titles and also future releases. Snapdeal sent a broken box which made the whole issue of buying a box set pointless.
Though I had opted for Cash on Delivery, it turns out that Snapdeal does not allow you to open the package and verify the contents before paying, thereby defeating the whole purpose of opting for Cash on Delivery. I feel that the cheating process starts here. Something to remember if you are buying from Snapdeal. I have bought items from a number of online retailers such as Flipkart, Indiaplaza, Myntra, Firtscry etc and I understand that not all transactions will be trouble free. What we hope for is a good Customer Support mechanism in case of any problems. Snapdeal, in my opinion, has the worst possible customer support policy. I would go as far as to say that they have NO customer support policy.
They are in the market just to fleece you. If your purchase with them goes well, then you are lucky. But if you have any need for Customer Support, then God save you. Needless to say, I ended up paying money for a damaged item and received no worthwhile support at all from Snapdeal. Would advice a lot of caution when buying from Snapdeal. We all look for the best prices when we buy online(which is how I ended up buying from Snapdeal in the first place - they were the cheapest in the market) but sometimes it costs more to buy from people like Snapdeal.
