I had an incident with Axis Bank, Hadapsar Branch, with the Newly issued credit card, which was PLATINUM. First time, when they sent the card, it was was not delivered by the BLUE DART courier service and its went back to the Axis Bank head office.
When I got a call from them the Blue dart again and asked me to contact the branch office. As per advise, I have reached the bank, where I found that the card is lying somewhere else. The Manager in-charge, asked me to come next week. Accordingly, I visited the Branch office next-to-next week, they said the card is just arrived.
While collecting the card from the customer support executive, I asked the that whether the card activated or not. She answered Yes it is activated. However, while in my first try itself in a hotel, I found that the card is not activated at all. On 10th March, 2013, while I checking my bank account, I found that 561.62 paise/- is due on my credit card account**, which was not even activated and the due date is 11th March.
Immediately I called up the Customer support where I came to know, that the card was not activated but he has activated then and there itself and he said that I have to pay the bill else my name will reflect on the CREDIT BUREAU list as a credit card defaulter.
However, by the sake of my name, I had paid the bill on 11th March. Surprised. Why this kind of attitude and approach by the Banks ??
I am writing to convey this to the users that please make sure these kind of incidents should not happen with you.
