Nature loving good!!

Has anyone heard the song ’’Take my Breath away!’’ by Berlin featured in the movie ’’TOP GUN’’?

I must tell you this is one place that really takes your breath away. Popularly known as the Queen of hill station, Ooty is the most famous hill station of south India. Udhagamandalam is the real name. It is situated at a distance of 105 km away from Coimbatore. The height of the hills in the Nilgiri range varies between 2280 and 2290 metres, the highest peak being Doddabetta at a height of 2623 metres.

The establishment of numerous tea estates made Ooty famous. Lofty mountains, dense forest, sprawling grasslands and miles and miles of tea gardens greet the passengers on most routes. The annual Tea and Tourism Festival attracts crowds in huge numbers. Visit Ooty during this festival, when tea lovers from all over the world converge. An occasion not to be missed!

The coolest and elegant place to stay is a resort called ’’Sagar Holiday Resort’’ -suite rooms have gorgeous view of the great Ketti Valley. They are individually and tastefully furnished to a very high standard and offer a very special comfort. Each is equipped with colour television with cable TV connections, telephone and intercom plus all the little luxuries for your personal needs.

It’s not really a place to shop so do not bother, the things you can buy are body warmers, woolen caps these come cheap. Have not explored places to eat. Enjoyed the food in the resort. Place is a must visit. Excellent for couples, friends. You need not carry winter wear instead just get some warm clothing and pick up the warmers on the street.
