Hi all, I have been to Ooty Last month, it was very chill over there, I am writing this review because I dont want you to do the same mistakes which I have done. We started our journey in car from Bangalore, by the time we reach bandipur it was almost 5 PM, from bandipur there are 2 routes which connects to Ooty. one is from masinagudi( which is shorter in distance but very dangerous GHAT Area with very sloppy curves, NOTE: Until and unless you are very good at drive, dont go in this area).
Mostly locals use this route and their driving is very harsh, dont follow the traffic rules. unfortunately we chose this route to reach Ooty and suffered a lot on GHAT. Another route is from Gudulur which is national high way all Big vehicles go through this route only. Apart from its beautiful climate dont forget to taste Tea and coffee. Food is good becoz I am south Indian so I liked it. Staying is very costly over there. for a normal room they charge approx 2500/- better you bargain. they will reduce at least 30% if you bargain.
Please Note: Bargain on everything otherwise it will be a very costly trip for you. have a nice journey to Ooty
