I happened to buy a Wall clock from home town in a mall in JP nagar Bangalore in Dec 2013.
The product was from OPAL company. I liked the looks and roman numerals which I wanted. While it looked good, one day my 8 year daughter noticed the letter 4 looked different. That was instead of IV. At the same time I noticed the wall of the dial was made of paper and was elevating itself. Over time it increased and I could see uneven surface with lot of bumps.
I wrote to the company about these issues. I did get a response from them about the numerical, which is correct that many companies use this numerical alternatively. He had pictures of the reputed companies using the said numerical like Rolex.
For the other issue, he asked me to contact the local dealer. For which I got a call from Bangalore to take it over to their service center. I refused as I live in Mysore and it will cost me more than the price of the clock to get these. Finally I got a call from Pune, regarding replacing the clock. They over time sent a clock. Once I received I realized that the clock was not new as promised and was repaired already. This clock also had the same problem.
Finally, I decided to keep my original clock as it was in good working condition than the one received as it was not functioning properly. I communicated the same to them, for which they did not reply. Finally, I sent back the one which they had sent from my money of Rs 200. I had asked them to reverse pick up which they did not do.
Honestly I have found the Kaiser brand is anytime better than this OPAL brand as they have better quality and looks for half the price. A clock not worth for the money we pay!
